Events Guide 2022

In the UK at least, it looks like we really are going to have a 'show season' without any interference from a pesky pandemic. So if you are sitting at home, staring at the calendar wondering where to show off your Volkswagen, the must-attend Porsche meets or which weekend you should get away in the campervan, we are here to help and have picked a few of our favourites for you to consider. 

Get excited as the 2022 shows are upon us!

The first is Ultimate Dubs, held at the Telford International Centre on Sunday 13th March. Established almost 20 years UD has become a mecca for all watercooled Volkswagens, including a healthy dose of Audi, SEAT and Skoda. Expect jaw-dropping show car debuts, more detailing stalls than you can shake a stick at, and a car park brimming with club cars for even more visual entertainment. 

With hotels on-site and a handful of eateries within walking distance, this is a great weekend away with your mates if you've never done it before. Sadly we won't be trading at UD this year but you can read our coverage of the 2020 event here. 

This is a big one for team Heritage and represents our return to 'normal operations' after the past few years. Expect to see the finest aircooled Volkswagens displayed over 2 floors, not to mention hundreds of awesome classic VWs in the sprawling grounds of Sandown Park racecourse too (you'll even find an area dedicated to the modern Transporter, if T4, T5 and T6 get you hot under the collar).

Special features this year include a huge Cal Look display and a massive throw back to '89, and that's before you have your socks knocked off by the big guns who have spent lockdown building something that can only be described as god-like. You are in for a real treat!

Our own pop up VW and Porsche show returns again on 21st April, and is set to hit the ground running with so many Sussex based enthusiasts itching for an evening event fix. 

The big change for this year will be the introduction of ticketing. Stay tuned to our social media and newsletters for the full details first, but it's fair to say we can't wait to see you all again.

Never been before, this is what it is all about. 

This is a real must-attend if you enjoy your classic Volkswagens as VW intended. Whilst modified cars are still present in high volume, this show above all others attracts originality and model diversity in the glorious grounds of Stanford Hall in Leicestershire. Click here for all the details. 

If Heretics and Ultimate Dubs weren't enough to whet your appetite then make sure you have got Sunday 8th May well and truly in your diary for Edition 38 presents Early Edition. 

Held at Sywell Aerodrome in Northampton you can expect tons of super cool Volkswagens and VAG stablemates, which have in almost all cases been modified far beyond the original factory spec sheet. We're talking custom paint, adjustable suspension, beautiful wheels, sumptuous interiors and engine conversions for starters.

Previously known as Oilcooled, Frank Cassidy once more throws his doors open at Boxengasse and welcomes Porsches from far and wide to park in the beautiful grounds. This show goes from strength to strength and now benefits from the backing of Porsche themselves... The main focus is on vehicles from the aircooled era, but a large paddock is also dedicated to watercooled Porsche parking. Live music and great food and drink round off the list of attractions.

Not one to miss, so grab your tickets nice and early. Also check out the Stuttgart South convoy if you are driving up and around the M25. Read our blog about last year's event here. 

There's another great Porsche gathering just seven days later at the wonderful Beaulieu Motor Museum in the New Forest. Enjoy all the sights of Lord Montagu's estate plus take in 1000 or so of Stuttgart's finest at the same time.

Just along the coast from us in Sussex is sunny Southsea with its huge green spaces just yards from the Solent, all waiting patiently to be parked upon. Beach Dubbin' has been going years, and last year was my first trip and I loved it! 

Pop this one in the diary, maybe combine it with a weekend checking out everything Portsmouth has to offer, or even top and tail a visit a trip to the beautiful Isle of Wight whilst you are at it.

It's the big one if you own a VW Bus, Camper or Transporter. The Malvern Hills serve as the backdrop for this Mecca of Volkswagen commercials and lifestyle vehicles old and new. 

Expect lots of traders, plenty of things for the family to do and unpredictable weather... pack your wellies!
