I have a 1975 Brazilian and noticed that I do not have the bracket to hold the boden tube in place. Is this something the brazillians are supposed to have? atm my boden tube just pokes out straight and not arced like shown in pics on the samba here https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=654822

Yes, your gearbox should have a clutch cable mount on the LH side of it.
