OD 42mm, ID 39mm (OE version ID 29mm) for better flow
Aluminium vanes inside for improved heat transfer
Comes with loose flange for welding to sports exhaust
Lightweight inner coils for optimal heater output
This high-performance heat exchanger (Right side) is designed to improve the efficiency of your engine while maintaining good heater output. Featuring an OD of 42mm and an ID of 39mm (compared to the OE version’s ID of 29mm), the larger tubing reduces restriction and enhances airflow, making it ideal for high-performance motors.
Inside, the aluminium vanes promote superior heat transfer, while the lightweight inner coils ensure that the system can still produce effective cabin heating. The heat exchanger also comes with a loose flange for easy welding onto a sports exhaust (sold separately), making it a great choice for performance upgrades without sacrificing comfort.

How many vanes are there per heat exchanger? Some pattern heat exchangers have fewer vanes than the original VW OEM Heat Exchangers. This would reduce the efficiency of the unit and poorer heat transfer. Thank you. Tony

Sorry we are unable to confirm how many fins are inside these units, as the supplier doesn't state in their info, but they are proven to have a better output than many of the other reproduction units available. They are not however on a par with the genuine items when they were available.
