Heritage Santa Cruise: A decade doing good
With the sun shining and the thermometer the right side of freezing, 2019's Heritage Santa Cruise had all the ingredients to be a Christmas Cracker. Read on, and we'll tell you all about it.

A massive thanks to everyone who came along and took part in our tenth annual Heritage Santa Cruise. We raised £1200 for The Children's Trust on the day and are aware of more than £200 raised by Ant Jones (Mk1 Caddy) through a seperate Just Giving page, which is just fantastic. As always, please contact us if you'd like copies of any photos we've taken (these or others of you /your car from the day).

Dressing Up Time!
In exchange for a £20 charity donation, each driver was handed 2 Santa suits and along with the help of some scissors, tape (and opting out of wearing part of it entirely) we were all dressed in scarlet ready for a group photo.
The Festive Fifty
We were joined by 50 vehicles, predominantly of German origin for the afternoon's seasonal shenanigans. That's not to say we weren't welcoming of a couple of classic Fords and a pair of modified Minis. This event is all about raising money and having fun, regardless of the badge on your bonnet.

Decorated Dubs etc...
Spurred on by the enthusiasm of participants to adorn their vehicles with tinsel, baubles and wreaths a couple of children were commissioned to pick their favourite, for which a Heritage goody bag was awarded in recognition for their efforts.

Hitting the road!
For the first time in many years, I took the lead of the convoy and a few minor dramas aside everyone arrived in one piece with most of their decorations still intact.
Christmas Carriageway Cheer
Nothing beats spotting the puzzled faces of other motorists and pedestrians whilst out driving dressed as Santa, especially if you are one of the last they have seen!

Carving through the countryside
An hour or so after departure, our Christmas convoy pulled into Tadworth Court to be greeted by members of The Children's Trust team and also the young people who are receiving treatment and rehabilitation on site. The Children's Trust is the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury; giving children with brain injury the opportunity to live the best life possible.
Dressed to impress
Like an army of Father Christmas, our enthusiasts flooded Tadworth Court in a sea of red and white and combined with the collection of vehicles we'd brought along, made for quite a sight.

A final photocall...
