Cox Show Molsheim 2023: Photo Gallery
With show season now in full swing, it was great to get another event report in from our friend Sascha. A few weeks ago he packed up the van and headed off to Molsheim in France for the 16th annual 'Cox' Show... They call the Beetle a Coccinelle in France and shorted this to Cox.
Staying close to home
Despite crossing the border into France, the show was only about 40km from home for Sascha and is hosted each year by the Independence Cox Club Strasbourg.
Things started on Friday evening, meeting up with friends and checking out some 600 classic VWs that had travelled for a weekend of fun. Accommodation would be taken care of by his 1962 Splitscreen and attached roof tent.

Full by lunchtime
With the main event held on a local sports field, it was already at full capacity by midday, meaning any late comers were asked to park down the road until the convoy left at 3pm for a drive out to the town square.

Partying into the dark
With live music and a DJ laid on VW enthusiasts were treated to a real party atmosphere. Perhaps a little dangerously (especially if alcohol was involved) Sascha reports that "around 11 pm the famous "car seesaw" started, where VWs drive over a wooden seesaw and try to keep their balance!!

Town takeover
Sunday morning was time for the campsite to be dismantled, but the fun was not over. Everyone was heading off to the old town of Molsheim, and around 830 classic VWs gathered for another day of VW madness! The day was rounded off with the presentation of some top ten awards, before everyone headed home, already looking forward to coming back in 2024.

Our thanks again to Sascha for taking some pictures and sharing his show experience with us. If you've been to an event (anywhere in the world) and would like to shine a light on how good it was, please get in touch!
