Reviews & Ratings
  • Adjustable rear spring plates for IRS rear suspension
  • Simplifies rear torsion bar adjustment for ease of use
  • Compatible with 21 3/4 inch torsion bars (late swing axle)
  • Requires 2" inner and 1 7/8" outer torsion arm grommets

These adjustable rear spring plates are designed to make rear torsion bar adjustments a breeze. Ideal for IRS rear suspension, they eliminate the hassle of manual adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune your ride height and suspension setup with ease. They are specifically made to work with 21 3/4 inch torsion bars, which were commonly fitted to most late swing axle VW Beetles.

If your Beetle does not currently have these torsion bars, they can be sourced from a donor vehicle or purchased separately. In addition, the plates require 2-inch inner torsion arm grommets and 1 7/8-inch outer grommets for proper fitment. Perfect for enthusiasts looking to enhance their suspension system, these adjustable spring plates provide durability and reliability for both restoration and performance upgrades.

Fitting Info

Requires Urethane Torsion Arm Grommets AC510003 (inner) and AC510002 (Outer) to fit. For 21 3\/4'' Torsion Bars

The spring plate is a universal aftermarket replacement. The two holes closest to the end fit both the three bolt and four bolt trailing arms. The centre hole lines up with the centre hole on the four bolt trailing arms. It is expected that you drills/slots the spring plate for the remaining bolt closest to the torsion bar. This is because the holes in the trailing arms are opposite each other on the mounting tab. The 4 bolt is at the top while the three bolt is at the bottom.
