    The EMPI Twin 44mm HPMX Carburettor Kit is the ideal choice for high-performance engines over 1800cc, whether for street use or the strip. Featuring one butterfly per cylinder, these carburettors allow precise tuning and significant power gains. Engineered as an improved version of the Weber IDF, the HPMX was tested by Hot VWs magazine and produced 7.35 BHP more on an 1835cc engine, showcasing its power advantage.

    Supplied as a complete kit with carburetors, manifolds, hex bar linkage, air filters, fuel hose, and all necessary hardware, this setup is ready to go. Although the carburetors do not feature chokes, they are equipped with 36mm venturis, 135 main jets, 55 idle jets, 200 air correction jets, 550 ex. pump jets, 50 accel pump jets, and F11 emulsion tubes, ensuring high performance and compatibility with Weber spare parts.

    I know it says this is well suited for engines 1800c and above, but would this kit also run fine in a 1600cc?

    This kit is designed to the Type 4 Engine. The version that would be more suited for a 1600cc would be Part No. AC1297317

    What's the make of the carburettor are they Weber or a copy

    Non Weber as this is a version of the Weber IDF carburettors and look virtually identical but EMPI have engineering improvements which help the HPMX produce more power than the Weber caburettors.
