    EMPI twin 44mm HPMX carburettor kit.

    A great carburettor for the street or the strip these have one butterfly per cylinder aloowing for precise tuning and great power. This is a version of the Weber IDF carburettors and look virtually identical but EMPI have engineering improvements which help the HPMX produce more power than the Weber caburettors. This was proven in testing by Hot VWs magazine that an 1835cc produced 7.35 BHP more. All the spare parts including the jets are interchanable between both brands.
    These carburettors do not have chokes.
    Supplied as a complete kit including carburettors, manifolds, hex bar linkage, air filters, fuel hose and all hardware to fit. This kit is well suited to performance engines over 1800cc.

    I know it says this is well suited for engines 1800c and above, but would this kit also run fine in a 1600cc?

    This kit is designed to the Type 4 Engine. The version that would be more suited for a 1600cc would be Part No. AC1297317
