this part 535881596 is supposed to be 672mm and the 171881596D part is supposed to be 765mm. can you confirm whether the part number is wrong or the length is wrong? i need a backrest cable for a VW mk1 golf 1989 cabriolet and the bowden cable part is supposed to be the 535881596 and be 672mm long. It looks like the version you need 535-881-596 (with no A) would have been 672mm, but is no longer available from our suppliers
