Would I be able to use this on my earybay 1970 is import as the original canister is missing and how would you plumb it in!?

Thanks for the enquiry. It looks like the correct canister is now obsolete from Volkswagen, it was listed under Part No 175-201-801A. Sadly we have no info on our system to say if this item could be used in its place as an alternative. We only list this one or the models shown. Sorry we can't assist.
