    So several people have asked if this sender will fit a VW mk1 1989, which i see from the replies it does not and we require a #53391905F which is obsolete so what can we use instead? what are the differences between this sender 171-919-051/L and the #53391905F which is obsolete?

    Sadly the connections to the tank and the internals do differ between these senders. As Volkswagen didn't offer a supersession or alternative when the correct item went obsolete, we think the only option is to source a good used item.

    1. VW Golf Mk1 1.5 Diesel (CK engine), YOM 1977?

    2. Can it be used with part number 171-201-075/QF?
