Hello there,
just checking, is there MDF (particle board) underneath the Vinyl?
We live in the tropics and fine that MDF falls apart with the humidity and rain.

Morning Anja,
These should be fine, my Bay window survived 10 years in Dubai, we had 90% humidity for 3-4 months of the year, the rest of the time it was just hot hot hot. But I fully understand where you're coming from. The thin ply interior boards at the rear of my bus didn't like the heat, it did try to warp, so instead of using clips to hold it in place I had to use threaded inserts with allen cap bolts.
I think the best prep you could do to the fibre board would be to coat it in PVA or a thin varnish to help seal it. It's also important to make sure that the plastic membrane (bin bag) is between the door and the door panel. As the inside of the door is designed to get wet when it rains, but the membrane keeps the door panel dry.
