Product Questions

where on the gearbox is the code marked please
Question by: martin naish on 19 Mar 2025, 09:39
Afternoon Martin,

The code is stamped in to a flat just in front of the axle and down from the filler plug.

But if yours is a late '76-79 Bay with a 1600cc engine then this one will be fine.

I have a 1977 T2 Bay window van reg. RDP 910 R with 1600 cc engine. Will this gear box be a straightforward swap? I have difficulty getting into second gear.
Question by: Nick Teale on 9 Aug 2021, 15:44
It looks like the year range for this Gearbox is correct, you would however need to check your current Gearbox is a CU code also. The Gearbox would be a straight swap if the codes match.
