Hi do these fit a MK1 VW Golf Cabriolet 1983,only some reviews suggest they dont? also I have bought several lots of ones that are supposed to fit my car and they are all to big many thanks guys

Afternoon,
You'll need part number 155-853-585 for the stock side mouldings.
But some cabrios are using the early Mk1 Golf narrow trim, as the correct cabrio ones are NLA, these use the Beetle side moulding clips that you've mentioned.
The sills have a larger trim clip, 803-853-139/C.
