Heretics September 2023: Photo Gallery
To say September's Heretics meet was the best ever is a strong statement. But, prove us wrong! We landed back at HQ for the 2023 finale in the middle of a heatwave, and the summer vibes, mixed with a bumper turnout made for a perfect evening.
Last of the summer time
Knowing the nights would draw in, we brought our September event forward by a couple of weeks to make the most of the summer sun. Not only did it gain us some extra minutes of daylight, but spirits were high from the soaring temperatures that had swept the UK. It just felt special.

Capacity crowd
We reckon we had over 200 vehicles through the gates over the course of the evening, with plenty of creative parking to maximise the space. Thanks to everyone for parking considerately and coming and going with respect to our neighbours - it all helps to keep these events on the calendar.

9Werks in the house
It was a pleasure to have Porsche journalist Lee Sibley join us for the evening, and he invited along a bunch of the 9Werks "Driven not Hidden" collective to soak up the atmosphere too. Sorry not sorry if Porsche's aren't your thing...

The People's Choice award
For the last time in 2023, our award for crowd favourite was presented to another unsuspecting enthusiast owner. September's winner was Joe Speight who had unbelievably travelled down from Doncaster to be with us for the evening. The car in question was a stunning Mars Red VW Golf Mk1 GTI, which fought off some very stiff competition to pick up the prize.

Grubs up!
It was a Heretics debut from the guys at Chuckaburger, and to say their wares were popular with the crowd would be an understatement. It was also a treat to have Polly's Parlour back in the yard cooling our palettes with their range of delicious ice creams and Chris from Crew Cab Coffee making sure everyone stayed wide awake for the drive home with his expertly prepared coffees.

Out in the yard...
Let us walk you around some of the fantastic vehicles that turned up to help us see out our Heretics season in style.

After dark
As the sun set, the temperature cooled slightly and the ambience went up a little more. A bit like walking back to your camping pitch after a night of entertainment at a VW festival.

A huge thanks to everyone who has made Heretics in 2023 possible. To everyone who has driven down in their pride and joy, our caterers, our DJ's Kenny and Brian Mole, Dean our resident photographer and Mike for his video skills, plus all of the Heritage team who have stayed behind to marshall the carparks and show guests behind the scenes with our warehouse tours. It has been a blast... Stay tuned for even bigger plans in 2024!
