This is the Filter only for use with the Metal type sumps, so if your vehicle has already been converted to a heavy duty metal type sump then this is the correct filter to use with that sump.

The standard sump is manufactured in plastic and the filter is incorporated into one unit with the sump. 

The Heavy Duty metal unit is manufactured in steel and allows the filter to be changed independently in future oil changes.
