If you need Golf Mk2 brake parts we can help!

Heritage Parts Centre offer a fantastic selection of Mk2 Golf Brake parts. We offer everything from Mk2 Golf brake hoses and brake pads through to performance VW Mk2 Golf brake discs and stainless steel Goodridge brake hoses for Mk2 Golf too.

Mk2 Golf Brake Discs

All Mk2 Golfs were fitted with discs at the front, but a lot of them have drums at the rear. The Mk2 Golf rear brake discs typically came on GTI models, including the G60 and 16v. You can purchase Golf Mk2 front brake discs in a range of sizes between 239mm solid discs 239mm x 20mm vented discs, 256mm x20mm and 280mm x 22mm G60 brake discs, which are often fitted as an upgrade to compliment engine swaps and tuning. If you are looking for high performance brake discs for Mk2 Golf, then our range from Black Diamond will be of real interest to you. They are well suited to fast road and track day use, and are offered in drilled, grooved and as a combination disc with both.

Shopping for Golf Mk2 Brake Calipers?

If your Mk2 Golf brake caliper is beyond repair, then Heritage have new versions we can supply you, quite often with next working day delivery. We may ask for your chassis number to help us ensure you get the correct brake caliper for Mk2 Golf that you require. Preventing debris and stones hitting your brake discs, or worse still getting caught in your Golf Mk2 brake pads are the brake disc backing plates for Mk2 Golf.

Brake Hoses for Golf Mk2

Mk2 Golf brake hoses are often flagged up on older vehicle MOT certificates, sighting signs of corrosion to the metal or deterioration and surface cracks in the rubber. Don’t take the risk, check your Mk2 Golf brake hoses a few times a year and take a look at upgrading to the Goodridge stainless steel Mk2 Golf brake hoses too. These will not only last longer but give much better braking performance too, preventing flex in the side wall of the brake hoses when under pressure. Your Mk2 Golf metal brake pipes run from the front of the car to the back and distributes brake fluid to each Golf Mk2 wheel cylinder or brake caliper. Sadly the metal pipes corrode over time, rusting on the outside, but also due to the hygroscopic nature of brake fluid on the inside too.
