    VW Bay Bus Window Wheels

    Heritage Parts Centre is a one stop shop when it comes to Volkswagen Bay Wheels. Whether you need a replacement steel wheel to use with a classic chrome hubcap, or you have your eye on new set of shiny alloy wheels for Bay Window, we can help.

    Before you buy though, there are a few things you should know. 

    Volkswagen T2 Early Bay Wheels 

    Following on from the VW Split Screen, the Early Bay (1968-70) kept the wide-5 (5x205 PCD) stud pattern, and wheels with this configuration will fit straight onto the brake drums front and rear. 

    Depending on your style you could use steel wheels with or without hub caps, go for a painted finish or chrome, or decide to go with some Bay alloy wheels instead, of which we can offer many varieties.

    From the subtle OE style Sprintstar to the Drag strip favourite the BRM, we have the GT 5 spoke with a nod to California beach life and the SSP Torque and Crest which take their styling cues from classic US muscle cars. 

    VW Bay Bus Wheels 1970-79

    Later Type 2 Bay Window busses were fitted with disc brakes at the front, which meant a smaller stud pattern was needed to clear the brake caliper. 

    Once more steel wheels are popular with those wanting to keep things as VW intended, however our choice of Bay Window alloy wheels will always be a temptation, with the added benefit of a direct fit Porsche Fuchs inspired wheel in a choice of finishes. 

    Can you fit Porsche wheels to Bus Bay Window?

    The short answer is yes! But you will need to use PCD adapters or have modified brake discs or drums to make it work. Porsche wheels are typically 5x130 PCD and as we’ve discussed above The Bay is 5x112 and 5x205 PCD.
