Simply Porsche 2023: Photo Gallery
The picturesque setting of Beaulieu Motor Museum once again played host to Simply Porsche, the annual gathering of over 1000 of Stuttgart’s finest organized with The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts Club (TIPEC). Whether it was the glorious sunshine or the celebration of the driving icon’s 75th year…the turnout was spectacular.
Chris, Dean, and Janice were there to fly the Heritage flags (literally) and talk all things, Porsche. Here are a few of their highlights from the show.

The Legend: The 911
The event was dominated by the iconic silhouette of the 911 (and 912) in its various guises, from original production cars to modern interpretations. A definite standout for the team was this subtly tweaked 912, complete with modern suspension and a full leather interior.

This Carbon Fibre 912 created by KAMManufaktur and running circa 200bhp from the original 2ltr 4 cylinder made it to the People’s Choice podium, placing second between a 993 Speedster recreation by MLR Independent Porsche and a supercharged 996 Cabriolet. Also spotted glimmering in the sunshine was a Macadamia Metallic 911 (997) Gen 1 Carrera S, not far from a Nordic Gold 911 (997) Targa, which coincidentally was the launch color for the Targa.

When talking about 911’s you can’t not mention the GT3 RS, the 80’s 911 Turbo Poster car for the current generation, and this one in Ultraviolet makes its presence very obvious. With 475bhp from a naturally aspirated engine, it can see 60mph in a tickle over 3 seconds. Rumour has it that it can reach a standstill from 100kph in the same time it takes to get to 100kph.

The Charm of the Transaxle
Amidst the plethora of Porsche on display, the Transaxle range certainly made its presence felt. From 924’s through to 968’s including increasingly rare models such as the Carrera GT (and the uber-exclusive GTS) they are a most welcome sight at events such as Simply Porsche.

With prices in line with 986 Boxsters, the 944 can’t avoid a mention these days, and models such as the S2 and Turbo are increasingly sought after. Who can resist the classic 80’s box arches and pop-up headlights that add to the attraction? Not to mention, back seats, a decent price tag, and a Porsche to turn heads in traffic where ever you go.

And we’re not saying that this is their best side, but this selection of Transaxle treasures do look good from behind.

Mid-Engined Marvel
The mid-engine community shouldn’t pass without a mention either. The Cayman and Boxster family is represented by all manner of models from the 986 all the way through to a 718 GT4, and the popular Boxster Spyder too.

Shout out to Stuttgart South
We can’t talk Porsche meets without a shoutout to long-term team member Andy, who was there with his Stuttgart South hat on. He brought with him a convoy of friends and fellow Porsche enthusiasts and here are a few of their cherished rides….

Worth a mention
There were also a few models that deserve to have a mention all of their own…the Carrera GT and the electrifying Taycan. There was literally a Porsche there for everyone!

The charm of the 356
Of course, we have to end with the ultimate classic that is the 356, the first to bear the Porsche name all those 75 years ago!

This year’s event proved an absolute delight for Porsche enthusiasts, and we only hope the show will just keep getting better…bring on Simply Porsche 2024!
