Heretics June 2024: Photo Gallery
How did that happen? We're halfway through our Heretics season already! We've made plenty of memories in the past 3 months, and looking forward to many more summer evenings surrounded by great cars and awesome people. If you missed it, here are the highlights.
Challenge Accepted!
A certain European sporting fixture surely kept some soccer fans at home (and an unfortunate local road accident made access a little trickier). However, we still had a great night, with a wonderful variety of cars and campers, and we even welcomed a Series 3 Land Rover to join in the fun and games. We sell Land Rover parts too.
Body in Boot!
One of our favourites from the evening was this smart Audi 100 Saloon. Slammed on Porsche 928 wheels, sporting a period Kamei bodykit and repainted in a Porsche shade of blue - when was the last time you saw one of these in standard 'guise, let alone scraping the ground and looking this cool?!
Series 3
We loved this Land Rover, which was full of character with some electrical upgrades sprinkled on for good measure. This is the owner's daily driver, in the summer and winter! Check out our range of Land Rover Series 1-3 parts here.
Walkabout
Here are a few more stars from the yard and carpark.
Smashing Burgers
Our thanks to the guys from Chuckaburger for cheffing up some smashing stacks... Even if they did get a bit messy! They'll be back again in July and September for more of the same if you missed them.
The Boosted Buggy
Having supported the Surrey Auto Works 20-day build, and seen this vehicle in a state of undress, it was a marvel and a joy to experience the finished article at June's event.
Big thanks to Kaz and Bryan for bringing this (and the green Golf) down to see us and for the quick passenger ride down the road too... It's fair to say the 160bhp 1.8T engine is more than enough for its size and weight, and the engine conversion was a talking point, with many enthusiasts keen to fathom how it all went together.
A bit of everything...
We've become well recognised for the mixture of metal our monthly meets attract, and June didn't disappoint. We've already mentioned the mega Audi, but howabout a Mk2 Jetta pairing with only 6 doors between them, or a stunning Mk1 Austin Mini Cooper?!
Classy coffee
The Crew Cab Coffee Citroen was back from an engine rebuild, and firing on all cylinders with Chris serving up cups of delight to all who needed a caffeine hit.
Bus life (and friends)
Plenty of cool Campers were dotted around the car park and the yard. Chris from our Trade Team has his lovely green Vanagon on show, Doug from Doug's VW Werks was out in the yellow T6 swamper, Heretics regular Simon (Blue Type 3 Squareback, Blue Razor Edge Ghia etc) plucked another set of keys from the garage hook this month and brought along his wicked Vanagon panel van.
Last but not least...
For those who have been following our YouTube channel, or are a regular reader of the blog you'll recognise the Green Golf sat next to DJ Kenny's gorgeous brown T4. Having been away with Surrey Auto Works having some work done, before flying through an MOT'd ready for regular trips out. Read the blog about this car here.
Want to be at the next one? The next event is at Heritage HQ on Thursday 18th July. We'll have great food, great music, cool cars and awesome people - hope you can make it.
