Heretics April 2024: Photo Gallery
Following in the fun footsteps of Volksworld Plus last month, this was the first of six Heretics events held back on home soil at Heritage HQ. Eagerly anticipated by so many local car enthusiasts, a clear blue sky welcomed hundreds through the gates to enjoy a few hours in the company of friends, with great tunes and wonderful food and drink.
We should thank you...
Our evening get-togethers would be nothing without the people who turn up, and the cars and campers that deliver you to our door. We truly appreciate the support and engagement, and seeing your smiling faces, hearing stories being shared and flicking through the photos and video clips afterwards really does make it all worthwhile. If you are posting on social media tag us #driveheritage.

Did we say variety?
How can we describe the smorgasbord of machines that descend upon our warehouse yard and car park without using the v-word?! From T4s with slammed suspension to high-performance VW Beetles, gleaming Karmann Ghias and even Harlequin Polos, we often get asked if we know who is coming, or how many cars will turn up. The simple answer is no?! You guys and girls hold the power to make these meets what they are, and you're doing a great job!
Quality and quantity
I also got asked what my car of the night was? Where do you even begin trying to compare and contrast the quality that rolls through our gates every month? I don't know to be honest...
Crafter Capers!
Big rig camping and van life has never been more popular and we had plenty of Crafters come along to enjoy the evening with us. We even saw ex-Heritage colleague Andy H in his bright yellow 'Bumblebee'.
One of a kind Tesla T5
It may not look special from the outside, but this white and green T5 Transporter was hiding a Tesla electric motor under the bonnet, and some subtle mods under the arches too. Find out more here.
Wildcard!
This tribute MG Metro race car raised smiles all around and had plenty of car enthusiasts nodding with approval. It was based on a later Rover 100 car, and has the 1.8 K series engine under the bonnet - but with earlier panels and smaller wheels, it looked every bit the early 80's clubman racer.
Wrap up!
So, we've already thanked the owners for bringing their cars... We should also say thanks to Cairovan for the delicious food, Polly's Parlour for the Ice Cream, Jordan from CrewCab Coffee for the hot drinks and Brian and Simon aka 'Mole and Son' for the tunes... You can find the recording on Mixcloud here. A shout to Mike B for the video work, and Dean for the awesome pics.
Lastly, thanks to our guys at the gate for helping you park, those inside picking your click-and-collect orders and showing you around the warehouse too - it's very much a team effort.
Fancy joining us next month? We do it all over again on Thursday 16th May, with +39 Pizza On The Road providing the food and Kenny aka DJ Nino on the decks.
We hope you can make it.
Andy.
