Upgrade Your VW T4 Fuel System: Beyond the Fuel Tank 

Petrol or Diesel, you need to ensure you are getting fuel from the tank through to the engine. That means your fuel pump and T4 fuel filter need to be in good condition, not to mention the fuel lines that connect them all in a serviceable and safe state too – this is especially important on petrol powered T4 models, where the use of E10 petrol can dramatically reduce the life span of any components that it comes into contact with. If you drive a petrol engine T4, use E5 / Super Unleaded options where at all possible.

VW T4 Turbocharger Parts and Accessories

There were a number of turbocharged engines offered in the VW T4 including the 1.9 and 2.5 Diesel. Relying on boost pressure generated by the T4 turbo being spun up by passing exhaust gasses, a lack of power, or torque on hills or when towing could be attributed to a split T4 boost hose, or a missing clip or seal. 

Turbochargers tend to become quite noisy when damaged or nearing the end of their life, so if you hear a siren or dentists drill type sound, it’s probably time to get a new one!
