One of the wonderful things about VW Bay Campervans is the ability to raise the roof, allowing for more room to cook and get changed, and also, create space for smaller members of the family to sleep.
Whether you need replacement Bay Bus roof hinges, new springs or rubber handles we can help you ensure that added space continues to add value to your VW camping experience.
Given their age and long periods of dormancy, it is not uncommon to find Bay Bus pop tops leaking water inside the vehicle, and this could be down to a number of things.
The VW Bay rubber roof seals may have perished, shrunk, or gone missing, allowing the wind and rain to get inside the campervan and spoil your trip away.
Alternatively, or perhaps as well, the Bay roof canvas, the material curtain that surrounds the side of the pop top when it is elevated may have been torn or ripped or become unsecured from the roof of the vehicle or the fibreglass pop top. Fortunately, we are able to supply these for the Bay Bus Westfalia, to help keep the weather outside where it belongs!
Letting light in was quite the fashion back in the seventies, and along with fitting fibreglass pop tops, campervan builders often went a stage further and added skylights or additional windows in the top as well.
Probably great for the first few years, but like us all, they age, and the seals fail, the plastic splits and the water starts to trickle in.
We can help you put that issue to bed with brand new Devon and Dormobile skylights.
