The EMPI Single Glass Pack Exhaust System is an ideal upgrade for 1300-1600cc engines in Beetles and buses. This system features a small flange header, a black single glass pack silencer, and a stylish chrome tip tailpipe, along with fiber gaskets for easy installation.
The glass pack silencer is constructed with a heavy-gauge steel casing and a perforated central core wrapped in high-density fiberglass. This design allows for virtually no back pressure, helping to preserve power, although it does produce a notably loud exhaust note. For owners of 1974 Beetles with engine numbers starting with AR, please note that you will need to fit an original exhaust unless you convert your twin hotspot to the more common single hotspot version.
