CB’s 28mm Ultralight Racing Lifters represent a significant advancement in VW lifter design. Each lifter weighs approximately 76 grams, 22 grams less than stock lifters, and features a unique two-piece construction with a wide base head. This innovative design, made from specially cast hardenable iron with high carbide and chrome content, contributes to exceptional performance and durability.
The hollow lifter body supports a push rod cup made from patented stress-proof steel, secured by internal snap rings. This design supports faster opening rates and valve lifts over .500 at the cam, making them ideal for use with CB's Big Foot and other high-performance camshafts. With reduced reciprocating weight and dyno-tested reliability up to 9,000 RPM, these lifters can significantly enhance engine RPM and power. They are compatible with both steel and aluminum push rods, as well as stock or high-lift rocker arms. For optimal performance, CB recommends pairing them with Thin Wall Chromoly Push Rods.
