Standard oil strainer to fit single relief crankcase, 1200-1600cc.

This is a good quality Forst Oil strainer filter for the standard Type-1 based 1200-1600cc aircooled VW engines with 14.5mm diameter oil pickup pipe. This size is suitable for 1961-1968 aircooled Type-1 based engines, including those found in Type-2 Split and Early Bay Buses.

On a standard 1200-1600cc engine this is the only filter, so it is imperative that it is clean and in good condition to ensure the smooth running and longevity of your engine. This strainer is the only thing that prevents particles and impurities from getting sucked up into the oil pickup pipe in the oil pan.
