Mk1 Rabbit Bumpers – Metal and Plastic Versions in Stock

Launched in 1974, the Mk1 Rabbit originally had small metal bumpers with little plastic bumper end caps to finish them off. These were swapped by Volkswagen in 1979 to the larger, more pedestrian friendly plastic bumpers which remained until production finished in 1983. 

Whilst fashions come and go, custom Mk1 Rabbit projects tend to favour the earlier Rabbit Mk1 metal bumper look, be that in chrome or black powder coated finish, but for maximum concours points, later GTI restorations for example, should be fitted with the correct Rabbit Mk1 rubber bumpers. 

Of course, we supply the bumper irons, the bolts, the seals and the clips to attach them to the front and rear fenders, so you really can make your project look like new again.
