Complete Buggy Engines

If you wish to purchase a complete SSP aircooled VW engine we are able to offer a package with all the parts required to turn one of our long block VW engines into a turn key motor. Sadly we are unable to offer a complete VW engine building service anymore, but this package offers a great saving over purchasing the additional engine parts individually. IMPORTANT: Please check your engine code before ordering, many Buggies do not have their original engines, so using your car's production year or log book as a guide is not advisable.

VW Buggy Engine Parts

As well as a full range of stock parts – both genuine VW and quality reproduction – we also offer a huge selection of performance and dress-up parts from brands such as Scat, CB Performance, BMD, Bugpack & EMPI.

Type 4 Engines and Engine Parts

The Type 4 engine was produced between 1968 and 1983 and fitted to a variety of VW and also Porsche vehicles. The 2.0 litre Type 4 engines fitted to T2 Bay Window vans had the engine codes CJ, which was the carburettor version, or GD which was the fuel injected version, or GE which was the fuel injected version with hydraulic lifters. These are relatively common, but it's not unlikely that you may find other engine codes - CA, CB, W, AW, AP, ED, CU or CV - from earlier or later Type 4 series engines. Care is needed when ordering to make sure you get the parts that fit your engine.
