This is the automatic tensioner for the multi-ribbed fan belt whichdrives the Power steering, Alternator & water pump, NOT to beconfused with the Timing belt tensioner, the bearings in this pulley areprone to drying out & wearing out, normally causing a sqealingnoise from the tensioner.
