Heavy Duty valve spring set, for use with WC109AT1010901 and WC109AT1010901SOLID camshaft, For use with GTI 8v engines up to 1995
These stiffer valve springs alone will extend the revving capabilities of your valve train to the 8,000 rpm mark. In addition, the Sport Tuned valve spring set will eliminate potential coil bind on high lift cams. When properly installed they will allow up to 0.500 inches of cam lift. A good idea for any high performance engine. Designed to fit stock retainers. Remember: Always keep the lower valve spring seats in your cylinder head to prevent damage to the aluminium casting

I have a set of these springs that bought off you guys some time ago. I went to fit them and found the inner spring totally different to the standard units. The Autotech inners spring version is bigger in diameter than stock, and it rubs on the inner diameter of the main spring. Where as the stock inner spring is smaller in diameter and so does not rub on the outer spring. The Autotech spring does not sit on the valve spring retainer ledge that locates it on position. I cannot image the having the twn springs rubbing on one another being correct as one spring or the other will fail very quickly. Can you help clarify if the two spring are meant to rub on each other. You can see what I mean in yourown images for this product. I can included images of the stock spring as comparison if required. Thx

Morning William,
Yes the do rub against each other. That's quite normal for heavy duty dual springs.
