245mm collapsed and
385mm extended. The KYB Excel-G shock absorber (formerly known as GR2) delivers a firm, sporty ride with exceptional control and stability. These gas-pressurized shocks are engineered for a medium to firm ride, making them ideal for those looking to improve performance and handling. Highly rated in testing, they came out on top for performance in Volksworld magazine, proving their reliability and effectiveness.
When fitting new shocks to a lowered car, it’s crucial to select the correct shock length. Ensure there’s at least 2 inches of up-and-down travel from the normal ride height. Measure the distance between the shock mountings with the vehicle on its road wheels to determine the required shock length. Before installation, remember to pump the shock absorber a few times to remove any air bubbles in the fluid, ensuring maximum effectiveness.
