The AA Performance Bolt-on 88mm Cast Barrel & Piston Kit is the perfect solution for enhancing your VW engine's performance, especially suited for lighter vehicles like sand rails, buggies, and beetles. This kit features thin wall cylinders, making it a direct bolt-on upgrade that increases displacement to 1679cc when used with a standard 69mm crankshaft.
Installation is simple and requires no machining of the crankcase or standard 1600cc cylinder heads. However, if you’re using 1300cc cylinder heads, they will need machining to fit the new barrels. Each AA Performance kit comes complete with everything you need, including piston rings, gudgeon pins, clips, and the barrels and pistons themselves, ensuring a hassle-free installation for your engine upgrade.
