The EMPI 32/36 Progressive Carburettor Kit is an excellent upgrade for stock and mildly tuned Twinport engines up to 1600cc. This complete kit includes everything you need to boost your engine’s performance: a carburettor with an electric choke, manifold center section, air filter, linkage kit, fuel line, and all necessary hardware. For single-port engines, simply add the EMPI single port end castings (part number AC1293237).

For optimal performance, the carburettor will need to be set up on a rolling road. Early Beetles with engine lids may require deck lid stand-offs for clearance. Additionally, minor adjustments to the fan housing and manifold may be needed during installation. Fitted with a vacuum port for distributor connection, this carburettor comes with factory-fitted jets for smooth, reliable operation.
