Be careful working on your T3 brakes
It goes without saying that you should only work on your VW T3 brakes if you know what you are doing. We sell a range of manuals which cover this topic and can also point you in the direction of a local specialist with the knowledge to carry out all types of T25 brake work should you be uncertain.
Once you have fitted new Type 25 brake discs and T3 brake pads remember to allow them to bed in, and take the braking nice and gently. Failure to do so could cause your new T25 brake discs to warp.
Bleeding your VW Caravelle brakes
After fitting a new Type 25 brake hose or pipe, a T3 wheel cylinder or even a brand new T25 master cylinder you will need to bleed the air out of the braking system. This job is much easier with 2 people, but you can buy kits to do it on your own. Do all you can to avoid brake fluid going on your paintwork, as it will mark or remove it all together.
Type 25 flexi-hoses are a common MOT failure point, and we have plenty in stock for all T25 applications. Another item that could cause you issues is the metal T25 brake pipes, and because of that we have made to measure T3 brake pipe kits on the shelf in both steel and copper nickel.
Increasing your T25 braking performance
Your bus is already supplied with T25 brake servo, but you can fit braided Type 25 goodridge brake hoses to increase your braking efficiency further. Because they are stainless steel they don’t flex under pressure, and transmit much more of your fluid pressure direct to the calipers than traditional rubber T3 brake hoses.
