Heretics is back with a bang, and from the feedback we've had, back to its best as well. If you joined us last week for the opening event of 2026 we'd like to say thanks for coming along.
Allow us to share a few highlights with you, and remind you that the next Heretics event is actually 'On The Road' at Type 2 Detectives in Cambridgeshire on the 21st May, and the next event at Heritage HQ won't be until Thursday 18th June.

Welcome Back!!
It's a long winter without a local car event, and whilst many of you belong to other car clubs (if you don't, please check out our owners club hub to find one), we know Heretics has a special place in your hearts, having been around since 2009, and now in its 16th year of running!
It's a joy to see familiar faces pulling into the yard, catching up on conversations exactly where we left off... and checking out upgrades, changes and even new vehicle purchases since we last spoke.
Naturally, we also welcome newcomers. Our scene relies on fresh energy, especially from the younger owners who will drive this hobby and community forward in the years to come.

Full House
It's been a while since we had to say "Car Park Full" but thats exactly what happened at the April event. Apologies to anyone who couldn't find a space on site and had to park down the road. We'll do our best to park cars a little better next time around to squeeze a few more of you in.

Red Devils
One of the wonders of older vehicles is the bright, bold colours that owners of new cars seem to shy away from. When was the last time you saw this many red cars together that weren't parked in the window of a Ferrari dealership?! Tip of the hat to the Mini, one of a few that came along to spend the evening with us.

The Spice of Life!
Maybe it's our older age, but we're starting to appreciate other marques and models more, and they seem to bring a little something extra to the event, rather than detracting at all.
We can't recall the last time we saw an MG Metro, but it was truly a pleasure to see! Likewise, good to have some MX5s in attendance, and we even enjoyed looking at the brand-new Kia Camper from Combe Valley Campers - arguably a strong rival to the Volkswagen I.D. Buzz that also graced our presence.

Compare and Contrast
When we got wind that Jez from Campervan Culture was going to bring his Trekker along, we did all we could to park it next to the Rayvern Hydraulics body-dropped example, to really highlight the height difference. Fair to say it's considerably lower than stock!!
Elsewhere in the yard, we had some old-skool BMXs (and old-skool riders, no offence gents), some motorbikes, a couple of Landys, more Minis and a Mustang!

Worth the wait
We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did. As a reminder, the next one at HQ is on Thursday 18th June...
In the meantime, you'll find us at:
Mai Kafer Treffen (Hanover, Germany) - 1st May
Retro Rides (Goodwood, UK) - 9-10th May
Heretics on the Road - Type 2 Detectives, Cambridgeshire - 21st May

A big thanks to Kate with her coffee van, Nate's kitchen, DJ Brian Mole, Mike B Designs for the upcoming video and our team for staying late to make it all happen.
