2025 is running away with us, and with the blink of an eye we wave goodby to August's Heretics meet. It was a great turnout, we enjoyed great coffee and brilliant burgers, plus some fantastic music kept our toes tapping; it was arguably one of our favourites this year.
Welcoming new friends!
After reading news of an International Mini event being cancelled a week earlier, we extended the invitation for the Mini community to join us. Around 10 or so came along, which only added to the atmosphere and buzz of the evening. As special guests, we relaxed our admission policy and proudly parked as many Minis (and Metros) as we could among the VWs, Land Rovers, and Porsches in the Heritage yard.

The usual suspects
Naturally, there was also a healthy showing of older VWs, Porsches and and increasing number of Land Rovers, there really was something for everyone to get excited about.

Farewell to the Riddler!
Following its dramatic Volksworld 2025 debut, it was a privilege to have hosted The Riddler at all of our Heretics events this year. However, this week we will send it back to its creator, Ray Ramsay at Rayvern Hydraulics, for him to address a few loose ends before it is auctioned off for Charity. And yes, it does drive...
Not sure what this is all about - watch the video here.

New faces
There's no rhyme or reason to who or what arrives at Heretics from one month to the next, and it still amazes us that we can have multiple 'new' to us car arrive on any given month.
From Cal Look Beetles to open top Splitscreen vans, not to mention a smattering of MX5s and an awesome brick red Volvo estate for those who enjoy all walks of automotive life.
A special mention for the Calypso Green Mk2 Golf GTI 16v, which had our Operations Director Mark weak at the knees, and the grey Scirocco Scala, which Phil took a shine to; coincidentally, both are up for sale... Bring your chequebooks next month, you might just find your next project!

Last lot...
Before you get bored of scrolling, let us share a few more pics and some words of thanks.
Thanks to Little Vintage Tin for the Coffee and Ice Cream, Nic and Ben's for the Burgers, Adam for the music and all of our team for being on hand to help with car parking, answering parts questions and showing visitors around.
Finally, thanks to everyone who chose to spend their Thursday evening with us!

So, that was August's event, and we've only got a week or so until we meet up for September, before our long winter break (Heretics returns in April 2026).
We'd love to see you in the yard on 4th September for the Summer Send Off!
