It reduces road and wind noise and also lowers the heat from your vehicle. It is easy to cut and 1.4mm thick with an odourless self adhesive backing 3 ply construction. A butyl rubber membrane and closed cell foam reduces exterior noise along with squeaks and rattles. The aluminum sheeting provides a thermal insulation and also keeps heat from the vehicle.
