Adjusting the tracking on VW Mk1 Golf

If you have altered the ride height on your car, or recently overhauled the suspension it is important to get the wheels realigned correctly. This will prevent premature tyre wear or the vehicle wanting to steer more in one direction than the other when you let go of the wheel. 

This can all be adjusted on the Golf Mk1 track rods, and by winding them in and out you adjust their length. Too short and they’ll pull the steering in, and too long they will push the Mk1 Golf track rod ends further out, causing the wheel to point in the opposite direction.
