Reviews & Ratings
Brand new Type1 Beetle gearbox casing, with extra webbing and gussets for superior strength. These casings are now manufactured in aluminium for even better strength. These are the casings currently used on the Brazilian VW Kombi.
This uses the 4-bolt pinion bearing (113-311-219/A) and retainer (113-311-223/B) as fitted to early (up to 1969) gearboxes, or use the VW Brazil/Mexico versions 211-311-219/1 and matching retainer 211-311-223/2.
The side cover studs are not included, you will need to order 16 of N01-442-89.

Product Questions
Hi
My 1961 type 2 panel van has the original transmission( Gear, swing axles and reduction gear) but the flywheel is from a 1970 bug engine ( 12V, 130 teeth) and the casing is therefore grinded to fit the larger flywheel. The job is poorly done and the casing has some holes.. Will the Rhino Gearbox Casing fit my original transmission and the large flywheel?

Yes, these are 12v. so clearance on the flywheel shouldn't be an issue. The internals will transfer over, as long as you haven't got a split case gearbox.
