The rear quarter chassis on Land Rover Series II, IIA, and III 88" SWB models is a common rust-prone area, especially around the spring hangers and rear crossmember. The LRD251 repair panel is UK manufactured from 2.5mm mild steel and hot-dip galvanised for long-term corrosion protection. It features 635mm extensions with joggled ends for a clean overlap onto the existing chassis, simplifying alignment and welding. Supplied fully welded, it includes spring hangers with bushes and exhaust hangers on both sides to suit left- and right-hand drive vehicles. For added longevity, it’s recommended to apply WaxOyl or similar rustproofing inside the assembly.
