Meet Barney

Barney Joined Heritage 2002 as Sales Director. Took over from Dave Ward as CEO of Heritage in 2016. His first venture into Aircooled VWs was with a Beetle, purchased in 1989 aged 15. ‘Bob’ the '73 1200 unfinished project was duly restored, only to suffer a string of break downs and crashes (mostly with stationary objects!). Following this Barney had a fleet of classic VWs, including an Early Bay, a Type 3 Fastback, countless other Beetles, Mk 1, 2, 3 and 4 Golf’s and a Corrado.

VW fame came to Barney in 92 when his gold 1960 old school Cal- look beetle hit the cover of Volksworld magazine.

2015 saw the arrival of a low mileage Porsche 997 and Barney has since added his own personal touches to the Stuttgart rocket which includes a Eibach springs, 997 Turbo Wheels, Pioneer Apple Car Play head unit, and an Audison speaker and amp combo.
