Heritage Parts Centre - Santa Cruise

Once again, we are inviting enthusiasts from our community and beyond to join us for some festive fundraising on Sunday 3rd December.

If the idea of dressing up as Santa and going for a drive puts a smile on your face, we would love you to get involved. Not only is it great fun for all the family, but the whole event also raises money for The Children’s Trust, a charity based in Tadworth near Reigate.

They specialize in providing children and young people with brain injury and neurodisability the opportunity to live their best life possible, providing specialist rehabilitation, education, and community services across the UK. Our Santa Cruise will start at Heritage HQ in Shoreham-by-Sea (BN43 6PB) at midday on Sunday 3rd December.

Taking part costs £20, which includes 2 Santa suits, a commemorative sticker, and a map with directions. Additional Santa suits may be purchased on the day for other passengers and well-behaved dogs are most welcome.

The convoy will leave at 1pm, with a route taking in A and B roads lasting around an hour, with the destination being Tadworth Court, where The Children’s Trust are based (KT20 5RJ).

Drivers and passengers are encouraged to decorate their vehicles to add to the Christmas spirit of the whole event, and we will award a prize to those who make the best effort!

Once there, complimentary refreshments will be served, and there will be a chance for the care staff, the children and their families to enjoy the vehicles and for us to find out more about the great work that goes on at Tadworth Court. After an hour or so we’ll have a group photo before everyone heads off home again.

In previous years, participants have chosen to donate gifts to the Children too. This is by no means compulsory, and because of their complex needs is a tricky path to navigate.

If you feel you would like to bring something extra, an Amazon (or equivalent) gift card will allow the team to purchase suitable presents that will make a real difference to the children being cared for there. Hope you can make it!
