Another weekend, and another chance to get some enthusiasts together for a spot of breakfast and a chat. This time it was the turn of watercooled VW owners, and we had everything from classic Polos through to a Golf Rallye, Mk1 GTI and modern Transporter. The variety, just like with our Heretics events, was wonderful.
The reason to take a drive
For many of us, despite the number of shows on the calendar, we only have a few hours to play with at a time, and that is the beauty of the 'Cars and Coffee' format. You can decide on the day, you can take a drive for 30 minutes if you want to, stay for an hour, grab something to eat, take some photos and have a chat, and be home again for lunch with the family.

Talk and Inspire
Meeting someone who has done the job you want to do, whether that's a ride height adjustment, an engine conversion, or simply switching some wiper blades, can help build your confidence to work on your car. Likewise, walking among different vehicles in a laid-back environment like this, you can get a feel for whether you like an upgrade or modification and see if that could be right for your vehicle, too.
We spoke to owners with different levels of mechanical competency, and our events are very much a safe place to ask questions should you not know what to do, or need a recommendation for someone who does know what to do.

See you again soon
As mentioned earlier, we still have our Heretics evening events running throughout the summer. If you fancy coming down to see us at Heritage HQ, put Thursday 19th June in your diary.
We also have another breakfast event tailored for aircooled vehicles on Saturday 14th June, so we may see you here for that.

My thanks to my colleagues Phil, Chris and Neil for coming down on a Sunday to help run the event. Thanks also to Kate from Little Vintage Tin and Nathan from Road Dogs Street Food.
See you soon.
