Van West 2022: Show Gallery

Isn't it great to have a choice of events to attend each weekend? The resurgence of the scene in 2022 has been fantastic, and in some ways maybe we are enjoying things even more as we no longer take them for granted.

One such event was Vanwest. We couldn't make it along in person, but our good friend Martin from Well Chuffed Media grabbed us a whole bag of snaps and gave us the low down. Strap in, here's some stellar shots from Vanwest 2020.

A real VW festival

There are VW shows, and there are VW festivals and Vanwest certainly falls into the latter. With a ton of live entertainment, trade stalls galore and a funfair for kids big and small, the cars and vans were just a part of the fun at the Taunton Racecourse.

Camping Out

Why limit the show vibe to just one day? Park up and pitch a tent or pop the top on your Camper. Drag out some chairs and sit out with friends and family until long after the sun goes down. Sounds perfect, don't you think?

One of a kind T25

Nigel's Type 25 can't be missed, especially not with that huge aerial on a mast coming out the side! Check out our article about him and his bus on the blog here - you'll never find another like it!

Red Flag

Red paint might not make your car any faster, but it does look great!

Music from the roof terrace

Denim Splitscreen

It's always great to see a vehicle with a theme. Check out this denim clad Split Bus that really takes it to the next level.

Fun and Games

Whether it was a ride on the fairground or a spin in a tot rod, there were plenty of activities to keep the whole family amused.

Coachbuilt Gems

The popularity and practicality of coachbuilt campervans continues to grow. Check out these big bodied Type 25s.

Bugs of all shapes and sizes

The Beetle shows absolutely no sign of losing favour in the automotive world. Once an icon, always an icon. Here are a few great takes on the classic Käfer.

In amongst the crowds

After a few years away from shows, it is great to see the crowds coming back again. Helped, of course by the beautiful weekend that blessed the Somerset showground.

More from the show field...

Look at this Volksrod... Whoah! The rest of the group are pretty cool too.

We hope you enjoy these round up reports. Whether you were at the event or follow the photos online afterwards, shows are still a great place for inpsiring and encouraging enthusiasts. Hopefully we'll catch up with you in person, somewhere soon.
