That's six Heretics meets done for 2025, and it's time for the team to pack away our pop-up car show for the winter, leaving us excited to make plans and further improvements for 2026. September's meet could have been a disaster, we'd had 'Noah's Ark' weather all week... But we kept the faith, and you did too, and a few light rain showers did nothing to dampen our spirits.
The show must go on!
As mentioned above, the weather had been terrible the past seven days. We had numerous messages asking if the event would still go ahead, but we remained positive and fortunately, some of you also shared our belief that sunshine would prevail! Following the success of August, when we invited members of the Mini community along, we reopened the yard to other makes and models once again, to see what would happen. We didn't have many this month, but the blue 70's Datsun and the red Lancia Integrale more than held their own in a sea of VW, Porsche and Land Rovers.

Arriving in style
It's not often we take photos at the entrance, but here are a few of you rolling in to Heritage HQ at the beginning of the night.

Let the games commence
Our yard filled up wonderfully with a blend of automotive brilliance from the fifties, well into the last decade. Whether you prefer shiny paint or sign-written patina, modified or standard specification, high or low suspension, there was a vehicle to pique your interest.
What caught our eyes... Wow. Where do we start? Personally, the yellow Mk1 Golf asked many questions, and sadly, I didn't get to speak with the owner to find the answers. I did, however, spend time chatting with Dave, the owner of the V-plate Mars Red Mk1 Golf, a vehicle his Dad had bought new and is showing just 37,000 miles on the clock. He'd driven 170 miles to see us from his home in Bristol, and amazingly, the car has never been welded or painted!
Away from the Golfs, we were treated to an awesome low-light Ghia complete with Porsche 356 motor, and Heretics regular Simon brought his air-ride equipped Razor-Edge along too. The slammed Audi 100 saloon was a real favourite, the trio of military Land Rovers, the Porsche 912s, Combe Valley Campers white-on-white T5, Austin's Oval Beetle, a grey German-Look T3, the list goes on...

We're all ears!
With a little bit of time before April 2026, we're keen to hear your ideas on how to make things better... Perhaps we can find a way to put a few into practice.
If the music wasn't to your taste, or you particually enjoyed the food and drink we'd love to know.
Did Click & Collect make life easier for you? Could you find a member of our team to answer your questions, was your free air freshener suitably smelly enough?
Maybe you didn't come along this year because something changed... Please do tell us - fill out the Survey here.

Of course, we can't just leave it there...
We need to thank a few folk for this, and all the other Heretics meets we have run throughout the year. Kate and Jack, Nic and Bens, DJs Adam, Kenny and Brian Mole, not to mention Mike and Hannah for capturing the events on film, along with Dean who aside from overseeing our Goods In Dept. takes a great photograph too!
Lastly, to the members of our staff who have stayed late to ensure we can all get together and play cars into the evening.
Stay tuned to our Social Media and email newsletters for all the details of the 2026 calendar.
