June's Heretics was our third of the year, and the hottest and sunniest by far. We were geared up for a super busy one, but perhaps the temperatures were too high, with some owners favouring sheltering at home, or sitting on the beach rather than driving an older car to see us in Shoreham-by-Sea. However, we still had a great time!
Mixing it up
One of the things we have enjoyed about hosting our breakfast meets has been changing the layout and parking format, creating new ways of grouping vehicles, and staging photo opportunities. With requests for shade under the canopy from our DJ (ex Heritage staffer Adam) and Kate and Jack from Little Vintage Tin wanting somewhere cooler to work from, we had to rip up the rule book and park cars as they came in... and you know what, it seemed to work quite well.

Let there be Land Rovers!
Off the back of our recent Solihull-by-Sea breakfast meet success, it seemed only fair to widen the Heretics guest list to include Land Rover models too. Evidently, the invitation was most welcome, and we had 6 or 7 classic off-roaders rubbing shoulders with the more frequently seen VW and Porsche contingent.
Talking of which, there were some crackers from the Wolfsburg and Stuttgart stables too. A trio of Porsche 924s and Speedster kits, a low-light Karmann Ghia, a 356c, a beautiful Trekker, a mint and wonderfully standard Mk1 Caddy... The list could go on and on.

Food and film
Whether it was a burger that called your name, or an ice cream served from a Type 2 Bay Window, we were all suitably spoilt for choice when it came to food.. We also had Mike on hand capturing the event on video, so we look forward to sharing that with you soon.

Let's go again!!
Gutted you missed it, or just want to do it all over again?
Next months meet will be on Thursday 17th July. Gates open at 5.30 pm and the event typically runs through till 8.30pm, with those still on site at 9pm politely being asked to go home!

Before we wrap this up, a special mention to Heritage team members Dean, Jack, Eliot and Phil for staying late to help make Heretics happen, and of course, everyone who came out on a warm evening to be with us.
We hope you'll be back next month to do it all over again.
